Power Centers Of Bodies and Sound
Sasha Waltz & Guests present a new dialogue evening at radialsystem

Elena Philipp
Bodies clinging to a building and, together with sound, set the space vibrating: For Sasha Waltz, her Dialoge projects, which combine dance with music, architecture or the fine arts, have been “power centers” of her work since the company Sasha Waltz & Guests was founded in 1993. They are often a nucleus of new creations, and in August they were a sign of life: In “Dialogues 2020 – Relevant Systems”, Sasha Waltz & Guests returned to the stage, performing according to Coronavirus regulations both inside and outside of radialsystem. The second part follows in December, an improvisation evening in which musicians and dancers explore current issues in an artistic exchange: What does the required social distancing mean when it comes to dancing together? How can this distance be used to create proximity – or something new? Answers will surely be found somewhere within the interaction of body and sound.
