Let the Quiz Dance Show begin

For Dance Loves Music Loves Dance, five Thikwa ensemble members, accompanied by director/choreographer Modjgan Hashemian, will each choreograph a solo for a guest dancer from another company based on the lyrics of a well-known song. Yet the music itself will not be heard. Instead, a quiz show will ensue in which the audience, musically animated by DJ Grace Kelly, will be asked to guess the song underlying the choreography. In the process, the search for common ground and the desire to play will result in new encounters between performers and audience members. It’ll be an evening that highlights the collaborative work of artists from the fields of dance, music, choreography and dramaturgy, and which celebrates the audience as an indispensable part of the show.
