A "Dream Ship" For Dance Enthusiasts

At the end of August, the Staatsballett Berlin will deliver a danced greeting to the city with the mobile gala “FROM BERLIN WITH LOVE – auf der Spree”. On the deck of an excursion boat, selected excerpts from the classic “Swan Lake” and the beat-laden, contemporary dance piece “Half Life” by Israeli choreographer Sharon Eyal will be performed. The program mix, which alternates cyclically between the House of World Cultures and the Mühlendammschleuse, will be supplemented with works by young choreographers from the Staatsballett ensemble. Due to the pandemic, this free Love Parade of a different kind, tailored to the capital, took place for the first time in the summer of 2021. This year, all those with an interest in the event will be able to enjoy a double dose of freedom of movement.
