The Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop celebrates its 15th anniversary
In “LOVE:15” the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop is devoting itself to new facets of in their work: for the first time, ensemble members are developing their own interdisciplinary duets in collaboration with dancers and performers. Participants from the dance field are a.o. Nitsan Margaliot, Lionel Menard, Lyllie Rouviere, Pol Pi and Jone San Martin. Inspired by Alain Badiou’s idea of love, due to which love is only revealed in the encounter with the other person, the radialsystem will transform into a stage for the two. For example, violinist Daniella Strasfogel meets performer Ariel Efraim Ashbel at a Christmas market, where they reflect together on their Jewish backgrounds and life in a Christian country. The encounters between performers and musicians reveal the diverse horizons of experience, in which the entire spectrum of the kaleidoscopic musical landscape unfolds. At the conclusion of the work processes, the anniversary will be celebrated together in March by amalgamating the eight individual duets into a common entity onstage. (fk)
