Choreographic Perspectives on Migration and Identity

In LANDSCAPES 4.0, Uferstudios and the FENSTER ZUM OSTEN - shibak sharqi platform are hosting an intensive week devoted to questions of identity and belonging. In three performances and a community event, artists will present new perspectives on migration, memory and change. Christel Brink Przygodda will interweave family narratives with reminiscences of flight and new beginnings, Roosa Sofia Nirhamo will explore dystopian spaces of control in which bodies and identities slip away and the MAHER DANCE COMPANY will rely on a powerful combination of Krump, contemporary dance and Arabic music to visualize and audibly convey the stories of refugees. Rounding off the event, the shibak sharqi team invites you to a collective get-together with music, food and conversation. (jw)
