Is the Future Behind us?

A dance research project by LUNA PARK

Choreographer Kosmas Kosmopoulos, initiator and driving force behind the non-profit organization LUNA PARK, is working with seven dancers to research movement patterns in society. Do we approach our destination faster when walking backwards? What happens when we take one step forward and two steps back? With this in mind, Luna Park explores society's lack of orientation and mirrors the social search movements on stage: is the goal always ahead? Or do we sometimes have to go backwards? The piece “rückwärts” (backwards) conjures up a picture of simultaneity and contradiction and examines the question as to how we can stick to our goals in the turmoil of everyday life during uncertain times without losing sight of them.
