Exuberant joy of movement
Staatsballett Berlin presents new works by Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal
An evening with two premieres at the Staatsballett Berlin: the Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin, known in the dance world for his Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv and his so-called Gaga Method (a training method for mastering movement material beyond steps and musicality), presents Minus 16: a spirited and acrobatic choreography for a large ensemble to the sounds of popular Cuban and Israeli music. Also on show is the new work Saaba by the internationally acclaimed choreographer Sharon Eyal - a pulsating and powerful choreography in which dance is combined with a diverse and hypnotic sound spectrum between pop and various other genres.
