An Interdisciplinary Choir Project by Limited Blindness / Liz Erber

With Die da oben! (Those Up There!), the interdisciplinary group Limited Blindness will premiere a performative oratorio at the Theater im Delphi. Directed by Heiko Michels and in collaboration with choreographer Liz Erber and composer Sir Henry, a choir of speech, song, and movement conjures up fears, projections, and conspiracy myths in a neo-mythological sphere: lizard politicians, algorithms, deepfakes, and the abstraction of power circle in a heavenly realm of acute phantasms. Combining pop-atonal composition, choreographed movement images, and Emilia Lomakova's diabolical cello playing, the result delivers an evening that crystallizes images of crisis and poses the question: Who or what actually reigns supreme over us?
