Colorful, loud, diverse
9th edition of the PURPLE dance festival
The PURPLE international dance festival will once again be presenting contemporary productions for a young audience. With the aim of inspiring young people to take an interest in dance, the festival program features a diverse mix of contemporary dance styles and formats. Among the featured artists is the international waacking icon Mounia Nassangar from France, who tells the story of waacking, a protest dance born out of oppression, in her performance Stuck, and the work Plankton by Anna Rubirola / Big Bouncers from Spain, which immerses the audience in a fantastic underwater world and artistically explores the idea of floating. The festival also will also include the networking event Round-up PURPLE and the dance battle Club Oval, as well as a workshop program for children, young people and teachers. (jw)
