Nationales Performance Netz: Guest performances Dance National, International & Co-productions Dance

Application deadlines: January 31, 2026 (Co-production funding) | February 2, 2026 (Guest performances national/international)

Independent theaters, private, municipal, and state theaters, festivals, other cultural institutions, and companies that act as organizers and wish to invite a dance production from another federal state are eligible to apply for Tanz National guest performances. Companies/artists based in Germany who wish to perform a dance production abroad are eligible to apply for Tanz International guest performances. The aim of co-production funding is to support exchange between artists, event organizers, and producers both nationally and internationally. The applicant is the producer primarily responsible for the production.

As part of the NPN guest performance funding program for dance, publicly funded organizers can receive a subsidy of 30% of the guest performance costs, or 40% for first-time applicants, while privately funded organizers can receive a subsidy of 50% of the guest performance costs, or 60% for first-time applicants.

If an organizer presents the guest performance with three or more performances, public organizers can receive a subsidy of 40% and private organizers a subsidy of 60%.

The condition is compliance with the specified minimum fee structure.

The NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETWORK subsidizes 50% of production costs in line with the share paid by the inviting organizer as a fee based on the NPN minimum fee limits. Depending on the country group to which the organizers belong, additional guest performance costs are subsidized as follows:

Group A: 50% of the artistic production costs are subsidized in line with the share paid by the inviting organizer as a fee.

Group B: 50% of the artistic production costs are subsidized in line with the share paid by the inviting organizer as a fee, as well as 100% of the per diems and accommodation costs.

Group C: 50% of artistic production costs are subsidized in line with the share paid by the inviting organizer as a fee, 100% of per diems and accommodation costs, and 50% of travel and transport costs
