Kultur Räume Berlin is a cooperative alliance consisting of the Senate Department for Europe and Culture, the Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH (BIM), the Kulturraum Berlin GmbH, the Gesellschaft für StadtEntwicklung (GSE gGmbH), the Studio Office in the kulturwerk of the bbk and the Bündnis Freie Szene e. V. By combining the expertise of its stakeholders Kultur Räume Berlin seeks to improve existing processes and works to create a sustainable infrastructure for affordable artistic workspaces in Berlin. The official opening of Kultur Räume Berlin will take place on 15 February, 2021 as a digital press conference and will be publicly accessible via livestream. Beginning this year, Kultur Räume Berlin (Spaces for Arts in Berlin) will be running the Arbeitsraumprogramm (workspace program, previously managed by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe), which creates and safe-guards subsidised artistic workspaces for Berlin-based artists of all disciplines.
