Developed by Kulturraum Berlin GmbH in collaboration with PROSA (Project for the Creation of Artistic Workspaces), the "Kultur Räume Kontingente" program launched in March offers artists the opportunity to rent rehearsal spaces at established rehearsal space locations with excellent facilities by the hour or day at discounted rates. The difference is covered by Kulturraum Berlin GmbH with funds from the Arbeitsraumprogramm des Landes Berlin. The prerequisite is freelance professional work as an artist residing in Berlin. After a one-time online registration, rehearsal spaces can initially be booked directly at the participating locations at a price of €5/h until the end of 2022. The Seneca Intensive Studios (Studio 1-4, 50 to 270 sqm) in Berlin-Mahrzahn and the Tanzfabrik Kreuzberg (Studio 1-3, 70 to 200 sqm) will be joined in September by three new locations for the performing arts: The Cave - Chamäleon in Hackesche Höfe (particularly suitable for contemporary circus and dance), Centre Français de Berlin (stage in theater/cinema hall) and Q Space in Berlin-Pankow (rehearsal spaces with room heights of up to 6 m).
