Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (DTD): DIS-TANZ-START - new dance graduate support program
With the support program DIS-TANZ-START, the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (DTD) enables young dancers to join the professional dance scene in Germany after their training. The goal is to enable as many young professionals as possible to gain their first engagement with ensembles of municipal, state and regional theaters as well as with established companies of the independent dance scene. In addition, further training and exchange events are offered. Requirements include residence in Germany and completion of a state-recognized training as a dancer (usually not before 2019). Exceptions are possible. Until the end of 2022, 4.9 million euros are available for this purpose. DIS-TANZ-START is funded by the rescue and future program NEUSTART KULTUR of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. All detailed information about the application can be found here and contact for advice by phone or email here. Applications are possible on an ongoing basis and will be processed according to the order in which they are received. The process ends when all funds have been awarded, but not later than Dec. 31, 2022.
