We are thrilled to announce that LAKE Studios Berlin will celebrate its 10th Anniversary from June 20th – July 1st 2023 with 10 editions of our beloved work-in-progress performance series UNFINISHED FRIDAYS: # 91 – 100!
We would also like to use this opportunity to start a special edition of Unfinished Fridays for children. We want to inspire movement artists to try their hand at creating dance works with a young audience in mind.
For these two special JUNIOR editions of Unfinished Fridays we are looking for dance and performance artists to take part in a 1 - 2 week production residency at LAKE Studios to develop a performance work for children. We welcome both new concepts as well as the continued development of existing works. We will be organizing two performance events, one for children in ages 3 – 6 and one for older children ages 7 – 12. In addition, we will ask the artists to give a short movement introduction workshop to the children before the showing and engage in a feedback session with the children at the end of the performance.
What we can offer:
- 300€ fee per performer, choreographer, and collaborating artist.
- 700€ fee for each onsite collaborator at the residency
- 120€ workshop fee for the movement workshop teacher(s)
- 1 - 2 week residency at LAKE to develop the work between 4.6. – 19.6.
- Performance on 20.6. or 21.6. with tech support
- Accommodation in a double or single room / travel costs
- Professional video of your work from the performance
Application Requirements:
- one member of the team able to teach in the German language
- ability to write an invoice
- completed application form (available on our website)
- CVs of all project participants (collaborator participation from remote locations is possible)
